Regulating Under Pressure: A Nervous System Summit for Leaders

July 9–11 | Old Rectory House, Somerset

The Nervous System Immersion is an invite-only, three-day experience for founders, executives, and senior leaders who are carrying a lot, and who are starting to sense that willpower and work ethic alone aren't going to be enough anymore.

Attendance is intentionally limited to ensure depth, privacy, and quality of experience. This is neither a wellness retreat, nor a conference. It’s a leadership competency immersion, grounded in the growing understanding that a leader's physiological state impacts outcomes, for better or for worse. (Especially under pressure.)

Do you recognize yourself in one or more of these questions?

  • Do you sense that we have quietly outsourced human connection, regulation, and meaning to technology, while feeling both dependent on and unsettled by what is coming next, including AI?

  • Are you waiting to feel "caught up" before you finally give yourself permission to rest, connect, and be present – only to find that moment never comes, the noise keeps building, and switching off feels increasingly out of reach?

  • Are you watching your best people (or yourself) struggle to keep pace with AI and the rate of change, and worried they don't have the flexibility and adaptability to meet it?

  • Do you find yourself treating the pace of change as a culture or capability problem, while something in you suspects it runs deeper than that?

The weekend will be led by Sarah Thorpe Scott, Founder of Thorpe Scott Coaching & Advisory, and Matthew Cooke, founder of the B3 Institute and Body-Based Breakthrough, a highly respected nervous system expert and executive coach. Together they convene a carefully curated group of leaders who want a clearer, more precise understanding of how their nervous system actually shapes leadership, decision-making, and daily life.

This is a weekend where we’ll be learning and working together, in order for participants to experience real change and to leave with new ways of working.

Over three days, participants engage in applied teaching, guided experiential practice, facilitated dialogue, and time in nature. The format is designed to support both insight and integration.

Participants stay in private rooms at nearby hotels and pubs, gathering each day at a private countryside home for shared meals, learning sessions, and experiential work

Participants leave with:

  • A practical understanding of how the nervous system operates under stress, pressure, and responsibility

  • Insight into how physiological state shapes leadership, relationships, and decision-making

  • Simple, effective tools to work with the nervous system rather than override it

  • A personalized roadmap for leading with greater clarity, steadiness, and capacity

  • The ability to tolerate novelty, recover quickly between disruptions, and return to clear thinking after activation

  • A reframed understanding of success built around long-term performance, not short-term efficiency

Leaders are not machines. Sustainable success depends on the condition of the human system generating decisions, relationships, and culture over time.

This immersion is not about fixing or optimizing. It's about understanding how the system carrying everything actually works, so leadership can be sustained with greater clarity, integrity, and capacity.
