When a Spouse Joins a Prominent Family
Most couples sign a prenup without having the most important conversations for their financial and family futures. That gap puts the marriage, the family and the multi-generational capital at risk.
Sarah helps families and couples close this gap, so both partners are ready to steward wealth with clear eyes, raise the next generation in an unusual context, and build a family life that works. She knows this work from the inside. She married into a fifth-generation family enterprise, built a life across two countries, and now sits on its family council.
About Sarah Thorpe Scott

She often works with family enterprise boards on governance, next-generation preparation, and the conversations about money, power and values that shape outcomes for family enterprises for decades, and generations to come.

She holds a B.A. from Duke University in Public Policy and the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma.
The two ways to work with Sarah
Spousal Integration: An Overview
A bespoke process for the couple. A prenup can be signed without the open conversations that actually help a couple understand what they’re marrying into: how to plan a life together, steward wealth well, and raise the next generation in the context of significant wealth or a family enterprise. This overview sets out what the prenup can’t do, and the six phases that cover the rest.
For families welcoming a new partner, for couples, and for the advisers who work with them.
Spousal Small-group Programme
A small-group programme to support spouses marrying into, or already part of, a family of significant wealth or a family enterprise. Over six sessions in London, with one-to-one coaching and guest experts, members build the understanding and confidence to plan their lives, take their place in the family, and arrive ready for the conversations ahead.
For spouses, and for families who want to support them. Inaugural cohort Q1, 2027. Apply by December 18, 2026.
